For Summer Learning Journey, we learned about making summer style art. We used a google drawing template to fill in the blank places with gradient colours. I enjoyed the activity because I like making different kinds of colours and filling them in. Here is my art work.

On the 23rd of november, room 1,2 and 7 went to the north beach.

The lifeguards who taught us were Annie,Jem,Ben,Emma.

We learned about the IRB which stands for inflatable rescue boat.

We also got to see tools they use to help people who are unconscious.

We did the beach ed’s talent where we had to make a skit.

These are some of the things they taught us.

• Never swim alone.
• If you see someone drowning tell the lifeguards.
• Swim in between the flags.
• If you get caught in a rip, Rest, Raise and Ride the rip.
• If in doubt, stay out.
• Slip on rashtops,Slap on sunscreen,Slop on a hat,Wrap on sunglasses and seek for shades.
• Call 111 and the police if you spot someone drowning and there’s no lifeguards around.

In the afternoon we got to play in the water!!!

There were big waves and some of us got to go on boogie boards.

It was really fun jumping over the waves.

This week we signed up for the summer learning journey and started a task.

We had to describe a superhero that relates to where we live or come from.

I did mine related to the beach because there is a beach near my house.

It looks kind of weird because it has human arms.

For this term we have been doing a fun activity called passion project.

We picked a topic that we liked and made a google site about it.

I made one about birds because I like them.

I haven’t finished it but I will add writings and information about them.

I also made a eagle on minecraft.

For cybersmart we learned about copyright.

Copyright is a way you can use other people’s work with permission.

Using copyright is good for the publishers and the consumers.

Our virtues this week was stewardship.

Stewardship is giving and using the talent that God had given us.

We can use our talents to help others.

This week we have been looking at Maui the sun catcher story.

We had to watch videos, answer questions and do some tasks related to the story.

We had to make a scene from the story.

I did this on sumo paint. It was hard to draw it because I had to drag it.

This Winter we have been doing winter sports. I have been doing table tennis in grace vineyard with my table tennis team. In my group there was Imogen, Koby, Isa, Brenna and Lillia.

I enjoyed doing table tennis because I liked doing it with my friends.

We could play board games, do air hockey and watch trick shot videos.

This week we have been learning about plays and we have been practicing for it. We had to film ourselves reading the play. I was really nervous about it.

Our goal was to read with fluency.

It’s called humpty. ( different from the actual story)
